FDE stands for Forward Deployed Engineer. FDEs work closely with users and clients to turn AI capabilities into working solutions for real problems. In the final part of the masterclass you’ll get an introduction to this approach.
How is FDE different from a traditional software engineer?
FDEs typically work closer to real-world business problems, adapting and integrating technology to solve specific use cases rather than building only standardized software products.
What skills do I need to become an FDE?
Core skills include programming, AI/LLM fundamentals, APIs and integrations, problem-solving, and the ability to understand and translate business requirements into working solutions.
